(This is my oldest son’s story – and drawing – with just a touch of help from your’s truly…enjoy!)
Once upon a time, there was a maker that made markers. But one day there was an explosion in the lab with lots of ink and the only thing to survive was a…jellyfish. A Jellyfish?!?
Outside of the lab the markers started to make themselves. One, the green marker, was a monster that could kill a person with one mark and shoots plants. The second one could make a thunderstorm with rain by combining its own purple ink with that of the third marker’s brown ink.
As the three mutant markers learned to wield their new-found powers and grew in strength, the power went to their caps and they began devising a plan to destroy the world. While they created their plan to destroy the world the green monster marker asked, “If we destroy the world, will we not destroy ourselves as well?”
“No,” said the purple marker. “We can go into outer space, and I, for one, will be going to Pluto – I hear the weather is nice this time of year.”
The Brown Marker said, “I’ll be living on a star – nothing good lives on a star.”
“I see, well, I guess I will go to Venus,” said the green marker, uncertain about this plan. “Well, I’m off to kill a person or two,” but this was a trick, he was planing to ask the jelly fish to combine powers.
While the purple and brown markers began wreaking their green destruction on the Earth, the green marker snuck away to the lab in search of the jellyfish. When he found the jellyfish, he asked him, “Do you want to combine powers to stop purple and brown markers from destroying the world?”
“Yes!” said the jellyfish enthusiastically – at least for a jellyfish.
So, the green marker and the jellyfish came up with a secret plan to stop the purple and brown markers who continued to shower the Earth with their murky-colored rain that destroyed all living things that it touched.
The green marker approached the purple and brown marker and watched with, he hoped, disguised horror at what they done to the Earth. Everywhere that these evil markers created their horrid rain, all that had once been green, blue and any multitude of colors was now a brownish, sludge like color. Seeing the green marker approach them, the purple and brown marker smiled and unleashed another storm of destruction upon the Earth in an obvious attempt to show off their powers.
“Impressive, isn’t it?” the purple marker asked.
“Y-y-y-yes, it is a good plan,” said the green marker hesitantly. T hen the purple and brown marker unleashed another storm covering an entire mountain with a deadening sludge; ending yet another ecosystem.
The green marker pretended to play along until the right moment when it combined powers with the jellyfish and stopped the purple and brown markers and saved the earth!
To be continued…
Fantastic!! I can’t wait to hear what happens next.
